Chevron Wall

December 14, 2011

The nursery for our little one is coming along and my chevron wall is done! I have wanted a chevron wall in my house for a LONG time now and it turned out just as I had hoped! If you are going to try this the trick is to make a good stencil and to have patience!

I bought a sheet of thick plastic from Home Depot to make a stencil out of and then used a level and measuring tape to plan out my design. I made the stencil 12 inches from top to bottom and each zig zag was 9 inches from the top point down to the bottom one.

Here it is all done and with the new wood floors and baseboards! I could not be happier with how it all turned out, with much thanks to my husband!

And here is our awesome wood flooring we got for just $1.20/sqft!!

Now that all the renovation stuff is out of the way I can finally start with decor! The crib will be put together this weekend, hopefully, and then its time to get a dresser and some yellow curtains!

I’m working on a grey nursery myself (with saffron and peacock blue accents). I’m loving this chevron wall. Very cool.

I can also spy your grey floral rug in that last pic and had to laugh cuz I’ve been lusting over it for awhile now.

Can’t wait to watch your progress and the finished room. Good job!
