Enjoying Spring….and Pancakes!

March 25, 2011

This week has been Spring Break for my husband and I so today we decided to go out for breakfast to one of our favorite places. Joe’s Farm Grill in Gilbert serves up delicious food anytime of the day. Their burgers and onion rings are fabulous and they have the freshest salads, most of the veggies are grown out in the gardens behind the restaurant! But what I crave is their breakfast! They have my favorite pancakes in town, so light and fluffy, and you can get them with applewood smoked bacon! We both gobbled up our food so fast that I didn’t even get to takes pictures of it! I did however take some pictures of the beautiful outdoor seating areas and the gardens. Spring time is the best there, they have so many citrus trees that are blooming and the smell is heavenly!!!

These gardens behind are maintained partially by the restaurant and partially by the community Agritopia. Residents can rent out garden boxes and grow whatever they want to, the only rule is it has to all be grown organically.  It makes me so jelous, I want to live there soooo bad!

Next door to Joe’s Farm Grill is The Coffee Shop. They make delicious lattes and mochas in a very un-Starbucks like setting. Nothing about this place looks corporate and boring! The bakery case is full of amazing looking treats and their specialty is gourmet cupcakes. They even have vegan cupcakes!!!

Just an FYI too, the owner of Joe’s Farm Grill also owns Joe’s Real BBQ and Liberty Market. On your birthday you get a free meal at each place, up to $10! YUMMO!
