Super wings

Yesterday I decided to make these yummy looking Vietnamese wings to take to a friends super bowl party. They turned out WAAAAYY better than I expected and will be a repeat for sure!

The recipe was from Food Network and I just tweaked it a bit to my liking.

3 pounds chicken wings

3 tbs chopped garlic

1/4 cup chopped shallots

1/4 cup chopped fresh ginger

1/4 cup chopped green onion

1/3 cup chopped lemongrass bottoms

3 tbs fresh cilantro

2 tbs hot chile sauce

3 tbs brown sugar

1/4 cup fish sauce

3 tbs fresh lime juice

3 tbs peanut or walnut oil

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

Put the chicken wings in a large zip lock bag. Combine the rest of the ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth, pour over chicken wings. Seal bag and refrigerate overnight. Then the next day grill up the wings and use the marinade to brush them while they cook, sprinkle with salt and pepper too if you want . Then plate them up with more cilantro and lime wedges and enjoy!!!
